The ancient city of Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, on Sunday, 25th of June burbled with unprecedented jollification  as the flagship show packaged by the fully integrated telecommunications company, Globacom Nigeria Ltd, following the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour,  stormed the city in grand style with Nigerian top artistes  in a single haul.

Vibes of the event kicked off with DJ Lambo on the wheels of steel who served the thirsty crowd a full dose of her mastery of the nation’s music as she supplied several danceable hits to their delight..

Ace actresses, Uche Jombo and Juliet Ibrahim hosted the evening. Sporadically,  they engaged the audience to fun games like rap competitons and a couple others,  rolling out several giveaways in the process.

Special guests of the evening were, the ageless Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Odunlade Adekola and Kanayo O. Kanayo.

With each one of them stepping out majestically to give humourous words exciting their fans greatly.

Woju crooner, Kiss Daniel was the first artiste on stage to perform, the crowd was over excited as he rendered his hit songs with so much energy.

Dancehall artiste, Runtown got on stage next, you can bet the entire hall went “Mad Over him”.

It was the turn of beautiful Afro pop singer, Yemi Alade whose electic band’s choreography was very original, african and fun to watch. She handed the baton to Mr. Nabania, Flavour, who gave the crowd a night to remember for a long time to come with his stage control and unmistakable synergy with his band.

The excitement in the hall continued when  Phyno was announced. The ethic south-eastern rapper wowed the crowd and got his fans to sing every line with him.

Superstar duo, P-square ignited the crowd with their dramatic showcase and finesse.

Voice of the streets and “pepper dem gang” crooner,  Olamide Baddo, spotting a tinted hairstyle with his team, was welcomed with a tumultuous reception. The crowd surged forward to feel the pulse of the King of the Streets as he pleased his people in his usual style. Baddo threw his wrist watch to the crowd in appreciation..

Ibadan will not forget that night in a hurry.

The next stop for the train of the concert is 10 degrees event center, Ikeja, Lagos this Saturday.

Interested Glo subscribers wishing to attend the Lagos show are expected to recharge their lines and use at least  N2,000 airtime and sms ‘MUSIC Ikeja’ to the short code 207 to receive an invite.
